Hey Everyone! I hope you are all doing well and getting excited to be leave in like a month..crazy.  I just wanted to write to ask you guys on a few things and hear some feedback from everyone.

I was thinking it would be cool to study a book of the Bible together while we are in Uganda. We will be living in community for 4 months constantly pouring out to the people we meet in Uganda and also each other.  So making sure we are being filled up is obviously an important thing.  The past 2 trips I went on we never consistently studied scripture together and I think there is great building and encouragement when believers read and meditate on the word together.  So I wanted to hear what you guys thought of this and if you are down for the idea/what are a few books of the Bible that you might be interested in studying together? 

I just finished up finals this week and I have a to-do list a mile long but I’m seriously trying to fight the to do’s and guard my time with Jesus these next few weeks.  Its always crazy before you prepare to go on a long trip..but pair it with the craziness of Christmas and you are definitely going to be busy.  So I guess im just saying all of this to encourage you guys to make sure you guys are sitting at Jesus’ feet and enjoying Him these next weeks as we all prepare to go.  Lets focus our hearts on His eternal kingdom and the work He has prepared for us in Uganda and not silly things that no one will remember in a month.  So don’t stress about packing and getting everything you could possibly need for 4 months away—I pack too much every time I go.  So seriously think simply and pack light..you wont regret it!  

I know this is a prime time for attack from the enemy just as you prepare to serve Him-- so if you are feeling overwhelmed or have things going on please share them so we can begin lifting up prayers for each others specific needs.  We are all in this together so why not start building each other up now.
