Hey team! I am so excited to meet you guys and for the adventures that awaits us. I’m the worst blogger ever but I did want to introduce myself. My name is Logan Hartman and I am 20 years old and finishing up a semester in college in Savannah, GA. God is constantly shifting and moving my plans and I am so thankful. Through a series of events I find myself at a fork in the road with this semester wide open—which is how I arrived at this trip to Uganda.
In the summer of 2010 I spent 8 weeks in Nicaragua on a passport trip. I cannot even begin to tell you the depth of what God did in my life that summer. My heart from missions grew after that summer and it was hard for me to think about doing anything else. So this past summer I had the opportunity to be a leader on one of the passport trips to Kenya. I was 19 years old and had more responsibility than I was capable of carrying out but God is faithful and He gave me the strength and wisdom to help lead the team along with my awesome co-leader. It was an amazing summer and a great first time to Africa. I was not expecting to be returning to Africa just 5 months after the last trip but God is gracious and knows how to give good gifts to his children.
One of the things I am most excited about this trip is living in community with you guys for 4 months!! We are going to challenge, encourage, serve alongside, and speak life into the dead places in each other’s lives. I’ve been reading yalls blogs and I’m so stoked that so many of you have hearts for leading worship…there will definitely be many nights of worship and prayer together!
We will have plenty of time to get to know one another but I wanted you guys to know I am available if you have any questions or concerns. I just joined the Facebook group so you can find me that way. I am praying for you all and I love you guys already. See you in 5 weeks!!!
