So I was reading through the "about me" blog posts and one thing stood out to me, and I was just wondering if you all noticed it too. Each one of us mentioned loving music, and almost all of us mentioned playing an instrument, singing, or writing songs. Many of us have participated in leading worship services or have been involved with the worship teams at our churches. 

This just sort of struck me as unique! I truly believe that God is bringing us all together for a purpose, or multiple purposes in Uganda, and I just wanted to comment on how wonderful He is. It would appear that in His infinite wisdom, He has placed us in a group where we all share the love of music. (And I bet a big part of that love of music is for worship music and worship time with our Savior! Am I right?) 

Since this blog is about us getting prepared to spend four months together in Uganda, I wanted to point out what I noticed so far about our similarities. And I wanted to ask everyone what their favorite way to approach God is?

For me it is definitely worship through music and song! I find that I turn to singing in almost every circumstance. When I'm struggling, I sing about God getting me through. When I'm happy, I sing about praising him with joy. When I'm sad, I sing about His love for me. When I'm scared, I sing about His protection and favor. (Now I'm not the best singer, but singing has always provided me comfort! It's my favorite thing to do!)

For some, it is studying God's word. For others it's playing an instrument, praying, serving others, dancing, etc. What is it for you?
