Hi guys! I'm excited for this trip and i'm sure you all are too!

My name is Makyla , but my friends call me Mak.

I was born and raised on a farm outside of Kipling, Saskatchewan , Canada. Im from a small town of about 1300 people. There were 20 kids in my graduating class. I've lived on a farm my entire life. I am currently living in Regina, Saskatchewan, as I am going to the University of Regina taking Psychology and English for my first semester, and i am also working at a place called seedmaster ( building seeders).  I think eventually I want to enter the field of social work but I'm not really sure. I know that God will show me what I am supposed to with my life, i just have to be patient!

I recently graduated from Kipling highschool, and was validictorian of my class. That was a pretty cool honor, considering the class voted. I spent alot of my time working with disabled children, and i absolutely LOVED it!  I was also on our school council. When my classmates found out i was going to Uganda, they held a BBQ to raise support for me. It was INCREDIBLE and i am so blessed to have such amazing people in my life.

I love running. When i'm home at the farm, I run all the time. We have alot of gravel roads that are perfect. Night runs are my favorite. The Stars are so beautiful and i absolutely love staring at God's creations.

I am in LOVE with music. I listen to country, rock, punk, and worship music. So basically i'm all over the place. I love horses,  I love to sing and play the piano, and I love being on the farm. I have a younger brother who is 16 and he is my best friend.

I've been playing baseball and volleyball since i was 10 years old and I've had the opportunity to play at a provincial level.

I have been on one missions trip before. I went to Tijuana., Mexico in 2010 to build houses.

I am Extremely excited for what God has in store for all of us in Uganda.  I can't wait to meet all of you!
