I apoligize for no picture, I cannot get it to work :(

You can add me on facebook though if you want (www.facebook.com/alyreed)

I went of the Rubric Nick put down, so here are my answers :)

My Name is Alyssa Reed, but most people call me Aly

I live in Temperance, Michigan. If you are looking at the the glove, it is in the southeast corner.. so south, that if you drive five minutes, you are in ohio! I live in Michigan but mostly shop and do activities in Toledo, OH.

I am graduated from college with my associates as of right now.. I went to New Life School of Worship (colorado springs) right after highschool, which is a 10 month program for people who would like to become worship leaders. I than went to a local community colelge in Michigan, where I recieved my associates in Graphic Design.

I work at my church (Compelled Church). I am the youth pastor's assistant and also the graphic design. My job is part time, and I was going to school the other part of it, but now that I graduate, I do photography on the side, and I'm busy preparing for AFRICA :)

I love being with my family, I have a HUGE family. There are 12 kids in my family all together, 6 boys and 6 girls. So my house is always full of people and so I do spend a lot of time with them. I also enjoy shopping, sewing (a new hobby to help me raise money for africa), watching movies with my friends, and just having fun. Like I said in the previous answer, I do also love photography. I also sing and play the piano. I lead worship for our youth group, and also for the church, if my worship pastor can't.

I do not like mac and cheese, even as a child i hated it.. one time my sisters tried to force me to eat it, and I threw up haha. I do LOVE pizza, or any pizza products, etc. pizza rolls, bagel bites, anything with cheese, pepporoni, and pizza sauce pretty much! I watch the disney channel, despite the fact that I am 22 years old :) It's pretty much the only clean shows on tv, and there some funny ones! I love to laugh, and when I get slap happy, there is no stopping me, I will laugh at about anything. I hate heights, but love roller coasters (kind of an oxymoron). I love watching gymnastics, I always wanted to be a gymnast, but I obviously did not suceed haha. I really want to visit greece, paris (I love the eiffel tower), and italy..

In order of my trips:

1. Ironwood, MI (2005)- I went as a teenager, we helped at a youth camp, and did human videos/testimonies at the services.

2. Uganda(2008)!! I went with my school of worship, and Mill Missions (young adult group at New Life Church). We worked in an orphanage in Seeta, and I fell in love with the children. I have wanted to go back for longer, ever since I went.

3. Dominican Rebuplic (2008) Went with a group from my church. We worked with Latin American Child Care.

4. New York (2011), I went as a leader for our youth group. We worked with Center for Student Missions.

I have felt called to go back to Africa ever since I went the first time. I knew that God wanted me to go for a longer period of time than 2 weeks. I didn't really have a good connection to do it with, and as time went on, doubts play into your head, and I kind of gave up on the idea. I still missed it, but it was just so easy to get comfortable where I was at and not do it.. This summer, I was at church one sunday, and the speaker talked about how we need to embrace God's opportunities. I didn't even think about Africa when he was talking about this. Like I said, it was kind of out of my head at the time. Than the next day, the Youth PAstor I worked for, spoke on going into the unknown. He talked about how it's easy to follow God when we know the outcome, but it's hard to do when we don't. Africa immediatly came to my mind. I decided to look up AIM, since my friend was going on a trip to Guatemala. I saw the trip to Uganda and knew it was for me.. I was scared to commit though becuase I didn't know what would happen when I got back.. but After a month of prayers and doubts and talking my self in and out of it, I commited! I am very excited about seeing what God has for me on this trip. I have a lot of fears though, I've only been on 2 week trips, so 4 months sounds a little crazy! I'm scared of missing my family, and I'm scared of having a horrible time and wanting to come home.. Despite all my fears, I know that God's called me to do this, and I'm going to try and trust him and keep pressing on to his calling, even though there are a lot of days, when I don't want to do this.. I sometimes just want to stay in the comfort of America, in my nice house, with all the things I need.. But I don't want to live this life for me, and I want to live it for God.. So I'm trusting in him, and choosing Faith over Fear!
